Lead Oak Women and Children Foundation is a faith-based non-profit organization. We envision a productive society where every child is healthy and every woman is empowered. Our mission is to improve the quality of lives of the less privileged in society by providing support to vulnerable children and empowering women to become self–reliant in a sustainable way

We provide health, nutritional, and learning support to vulnerable children while helping their mothers become self-reliant in a sustainable way.
VISION
Our vision is to reach the most vulnerable children in Nigeria with high-quality, Integrated Early Childhood Development programs that ensure that regardless of circumstances of birth and socio-economic status of the family, they are provided with the necessary support they need to reach their full developmental potential and become nation builders in the future.

Our founder
Megor Ikuenobe
Megor Ikuenobe is a medical doctor focused on Integrated Early Childhood Development (IECD) Programming, Execution & Advocacy. Driven by the passion to ensure every child gets the best start in life, She draws on over a decade of hands-on Experience in leading teams to tailor multi-sectoral ECD interventions that deliver maximum impact to the most vulnerable children in Africa. She is the Founder of Lead Oak Women and Children Foundation, co-founder of Convergence for Early Childhood Development in Africa, and drives the Dr. Megor brand.
She is committed to challenging ineffective stereotypes and developing innovative, homegrown solutions to development challenges that are pragmatic and can be easily applied in the African context. A recipient of multiple awards; Megor is a 2017 Mandela Washington Fellow, and more recently, was selected as one of 20 top female leaders in Nigeria by the Swedish Embassy in Nigeria. She has been involved in the ECD space at International, National, and Sub-national levels as well as engaged stakeholders across the public & private sectors in advocating for better ECD programs for the African Child.
